Spring update 2024
Lisa and Daniel talk about how they are doing and have an offer for new customers.
What's new?
Last winter was good to us. We have found some great new business angels who are supporting TelemetryDeck with their network, advice, and funding. This gives us the freedom to focus even more on you, our customers. This is extremely important for us, as we still have a very small team and have to prioritize our time wisely.
It is fitting that we have been working continuously on ourselves, our communication within the founding team and our self-organization. We are also currently revising our sales strategy because we want to grow more through inbound marketing. Daniel and I are busier than ever!
But we still have time for nice activities. For example, we were finally able to meet our technical writer Marina, who normally lives in Estonia.
And we visited the Hetzner data center in Nuremberg, which was incredibly exciting. Unfortunately, photos are not permitted inside the building.
Numbers, numbers, numbers
Incidentally, you can also see from our figures that we are very busy. We reached the 4B data point mark in February and 5B in May. TelemetryDeck now has round about 2,300 customers. Every day, we receive data from 1.8 million app users who send us an average of 600,000 signals per hour.
So much for the facts about TelemetryDeck. You can find the latest figures on iOS usage every month in our iOS versions market share overview - a longtail keyword, by the way, with which we have already achieved a very respectable ranking on search engines.

Product news
We're updating and consolidating our SDKs and docs so that we'll have better naming conventions and easier-to-read docs – expect a post about that soon.
On the server side, we're busy preparing a move to a different server architecture that will hopefully be more stable. Scaling clusters of servers to our size is sometimes a challenge, and we're working on getting it right.
Discountinued
It's terrible, but even Daniel's and my days only have 24 hours, and we can't write an endless number of tasks on our to-do-lists. It is therefore with a heavy heart that we have decided to stop doing some things or only do them at longer intervals.
One of these is the Member Shoutout, which we will be suspending until further notice. It has always been a fantastic way to get in touch with you, and we have learned so much about you. But unfortunately, these blog posts, newsletters and social media posts have taken up more time each month because the research has become so time-consuming. We are thinking about how we want to showcase and strengthen our fantastic community in the future.
We will probably continue to share the iOS Market Share figures because we can see how much interest there is in them. Here we are thinking about how we can automate the process, because the time commitment for Daniel, who has mainly taken on this research, is very high.
We understand that some of you find our pricing model confusing, and we realize that our corporate goals are not reflected in our pricing. One of the next big issues for us will therefore be to revise our pricing model.
