macOS Versions Market Share in 2026

This chart shows the top 10 macOS Versions for each week in the last year. Values are percentages.

Some interesting observations are:

• As there has been a significant growth of our dataset over the last months some part of volatility in the data may be caused by our increasing dataset rather than by a general trend.
• macOS 15.6 had a share of about 63% as of end of August 2025. The share has since declined to 13.67% at the end of December.
• macOS 15.7 appeared in the middle of September for the first time in the most used versions and was at 24.84% at the end of 2025.
• The share of macOS 26.0 has been volatile. It was at over 47% during October and has since then declined to 2.83% as of end of December.
• macOS 26.1 had a share of around 65% in the first week of December 2025, but it decreased to 18.68% at the end of the month.
• The share of macOS 26.2 has increased considerably in December and was at 29.53% at the end of the month.
