When TelemetryDeck runs inside an app, that app stores a user identifier on the device it runs on. However, that user identifier is completely anonymized and not connectable to personal data.

When TelemetryDeck runs on a website, we generate a hashed identifier from a combination of the date, the actual website, and parts of the IP address.

Both of these methods allow us to gather analytics data without following users across apps and websites and crucially while keeping a huge amount of legal and time-consuming paperwork away from your product.
