We are now TelemetryDeck
Starting a business is a process that brings many surprising twists and turns. One of them is the change of our name: we are now TelemetryDeck, but we still bring you telemetry for your apps.
We decided to take this step to raise our profile and differentiate ourselves more from competitors. Our mission to provide anonymized usage data does not change.
We chose this name because it combines Daniel's love of Spacecraft and Lisa's love of data visualization. It's matched by our mascot Sondrine the probe, who you know from the app icon. Did you know that we already had mugs printed?
(And they are, in fact, the coolest mugs ever! We'll see about offering an option to order them once we have a bit of breathing room with the core business)
This web domain, as well as Twitter and GitHub profiles, will change their names shortly. Please let us know if anything doesn't work right.
Our next steps are the completion of the public launch, the pricing system and a web interface. We are also in the process of officially registering our company. For this we have to deal with very German things like the Pflichtmitgliedschaft in the Industrie- und Handelskammer. We will also open a bank account and start sending invoices to our heavy users. Our first goal is to cover the server costs, which we have been paying out of our own pockets so far.
