This agency monitors the popularity of features with TelemetryDeck
Plantbuddy helps you to keep your plants alive. Whether it's at home, in a shared apartment or in the office: you can create a clear overview of all the rooms and plants that you want to care for regularly, and you will receive individual reminders that remind you to water and fertilize them. Since the latest version, it is even possible to care for your plants together with others and synchronise them on multiple devices. Plantbuddy recently had its 1 year anniversary. So far, it has been installed over 25 000 times.
We found out about TelemetryDeck via Twitter. We were looking for some interesting app analysis tools anyway, and came across TelemetryDeck via Daniel's bio. We installed the Telemetry SDK in addition to Google Analytics because it provides us with interesting additional information. The simple and honest attitude towards Data Protection made us quickly decide to just give it a try. We were also impressed by the fact that you can set up the signals and the dashboard so individually.
We check TelemetryDeck Viewer almost daily to see how users interact with our app and which actions are performed most frequently. This has helped us several times when we were not sure if a certain feature was used at all.
Actually, all app developers who want to find out how users are using their app and put a lot of emphasis on privacy should check out TelemetryDeck.
Because the privacy issue is so close to our hearts, Plantbuddy has its own REST-API with a completely self-developed Laravel backend, which is self-hosted in Germany as well.
Plantbuddy was originally launched as a test project for iOS apps at SPACE SQUAD, and has gained popularity so quickly that we are now building an entire ecosystem – including an online store – around it to refinance the project.
